My name is Stephanie Laura Pierre and most people know me as the Neighborhood Soap Dealer (NSD). I discovered my passion as a soap maker at the age of 30 and have been inspired by so many others in this line of business. Never would I have thought that I would have receive so much support in such a short period of time, but with God by my side, anything is possible!

Starting a soap company during a pandemic has been extremely tedious but worthwhile. It truly was a test of faith and as always, God came through for girl.  I'll never forget when I made my first bar of soap. I did some research and watched Youtube videos of course, and it built up my confidence to indulge in the soap making process. Before I attempted to "get in the lab" and make my own bar, I asked my family, friends and followers from my personal instagram page if they would like free soap in exchange for their feedback. Once I received their critiques, I invested in a soap journal so that I can write notes to perfect my craft. I purchased many books and would literally stay up all night watching soap making videos. In due time, from all of my research and note-taking, I got better and decided that it was time to put myself out there and sell my beautiful creations. Of course there were times when I didn't excel and would mess up, but that fueled my insatiable zeal to get better and go harder. I started back in March 2020, and haven't looked back since.

From educator to full-time entrepreneur, my soap-making journey has been one of many trials and tribulations but I wouldn't change it for the world. I am truly a believer of what God has for me, is for me. My family, loved ones, and of course my Soapsters are who keep me motivated. The unwavering support from everyone who has invested in me drives my determination to be who I am and encourages me to keep creating masterpieces.
